In an effort to strengthen awareness and implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) across Indonesia, the government commemorates National OSH Month 2026, observed from January 12 to February 12, 2026.

The theme of National OSH Month 2026 is:

“Building a Professional, Reliable, and Collaborative National Mining Safety Management Ecosystem.”

This theme highlights the importance of developing a comprehensive and integrated safety management system within the national mining sector. It emphasizes that effective mining safety management must be carried out professionally, supported by reliable systems and competencies, and strengthened through collaboration among all stakeholders, including government institutions, mining companies, workers, contractors, and supporting partners.

The mining industry is recognized as a high-risk sector, making the implementation of robust occupational safety and health practices a critical priority. Through the commemoration of National OSH Month 2026, stakeholders are encouraged to reinforce their commitment to preventing workplace accidents, occupational diseases, and environmental hazards by consistently applying safety standards and regulations.

Throughout the National OSH Month, various activities may be conducted, such as safety campaigns, OSH training programs, technical seminars, inspections, and evaluations of Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems (OSHMS) in the workplace. These initiatives aim to foster a strong safety culture and promote continuous improvement in mining safety performance.

National OSH Month 2026 serves as a reminder that safety is a shared responsibility. By building a professional, reliable, and collaborative safety ecosystem, the mining industry is expected to create safer, more productive, and sustainable workplaces, while supporting national development with human safety as its highest priority.
