The 3M 3000 series monitors are simple devices that meet and exceed OSHA accuracy requirements. The overall accuracy for each monitor is around 25% at a 95% confidence level.

How can sucha simple device be so acurate? It works on a proven scientific principle called diffusion - the gradual mixing of the molecules of wo more substances.
Instead of using a mechanical pump to move the air to a sample collection point, the 3000 series uses diffusion. That means that there's no pump to carry, no batteries to charge, no hose to tangle and no equipment to calibrate.
All 3M monitors (except the mercury-vapor) can be analyzed in your own lab, or you can send them back to 3M for analysis. Either way 3M monitors can help save time and money. 3M will provide complete procedures for inhouse analysis. Optional prepaid 3M analysis packages are available
